I have a 3hp sihi 2 stage that ran a good part of the last night without water. The return line to the tank broke off. I got it going again but it seemed a little harder to prime but that could just be me. It was running just the same as ever all day until tonight when I went down to check it there was hardly any water coming out the return pipe and the vacuum was down a few hgs. The only other thing I did that was different was to fill the 2/3 empty tank with 1.5% sap to get things going again. I've never had one of these apart but I was under the impression they were practically indestructable with no friction without water. Both last night and tonight the pump never got hot. Just warm. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.
