Anyone else using extra defoamer this year?

I usually go to the flue pan after every fire and drop 5 drops of Atmos defoamer into the pan where the sap is coming in, but I have found this year that I have had to double the amount to 10 drops as my syrup pan will foam up and mix otherwise. Couldn't figure out what was going on until I watched the pan after firing, temp would be up to around 218.5, then drop down to around 216 after firing and take awhile coming back, with huge batches of syrup then of 2 or more gallons

We too have been needing to use extra defoamer, especially when we first start up... seems to foam up real quick when it first comes to a boil.
