I tried making candy the other day for the first time and had a hard time getting the candy out of the mold. Not sure if I should grease the mold first or what was the trick. Thank you

Are you using the soft silicone molds? If so, you should just be able to push them out from the opposite side without any grease.

No I think that I might have brought the wrong one. Mine is made of hard plastic.

I bought these (http://www.ebay.com/itm/141173716349?var=440245229814&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649) this year. It took a couple weeks to get these from Hong Kong, but they worked great for me. Just made some candy tonight in fact... My local supplier charges about $15 for the same sized mold and I almost did it because they were maple leaves, but I decided to save the $$$ and get more molds so I could do bigger batches.

The thing you need to consider when buying molds from foreign countries is that they carry a lead free label.

The molds that I mentioned carry the international food-safe logo.
