Looking for sugarhouses to visit in upstate NY/VT with kitchens & RO system. Looking for ideas on building a new sugarhouse. My niece owns "Soukup Farms" in Dover Plains, NY. We are done for the season! Post here or email her: jsoukup4@gmail.com She is in the process of joining this forum. Thanks!

Wendy,
Welcome, we are quite happy with our sugarhouse and have had one other sugarmaker use the design.
We used the std 24 x 16 evaporator room, added a 10 foot lean to for woodshed then added a 12 foot kitchen/work area to the back. The elevated loft with stairs makes it easy to get to the sap storage tanks. Ceiling height in the evaporator room is 10 feet. Wood shed and kitchen area is 8 feet. Roof pitch in the evaporator room and loft is 8/12 Wood shed pitch is about 3.5/12. Take a look at our web site for some pictures.
Also search for the post Regals Sugarhouse. They used our plans too.

Good luck, helping build a new sugarhouse is a exciting project.
Regards,
Chris
