I switched all my taps to the clear seasonal spouts this year and on the most part I like them as the seal well and you can see what's going on. My issue is there really isn't a barb on them and I've had quite a few push. The drop line off after a heavy freeze. Some of my drops are made of 30p so they are stiff. Has anyone else had this problem. I plan on replacing all my drops this summer is there a better line to use for drops? Thanks Jeff

Anything other than 30p. I use Lapierre semi rigid and have used CDL in the past very similar line both work the same.

Yes I have. 30P has a slightly larger ID than other tubing...great for laterals, not for drops. Use semi-rigid for drops since it's more flexible. Also, semi-rigid grip the season better w/ or w/out the barb.

Yup after pushing 4 more on this morning I noticed its all 30p. This is the olny section that has not been replaced maybe 30 taps so I will change this over for next year. Thanks for the info.

I used all Leader Max flex for drops last year. For the 140 or so drops added this year, I just used their grip tubing. After tapping with both kinds, I'm convinced to use the flex. Sooo much easier tapping anywhere on the tree.

I really like the Leader seasonal taps. They seal very good in any tubing. Just like check valves without check ball and None of them broke.
