Feed tank height?

Is there a formula as to how high a feed tank should be relitive to the feed valve?

Now I am thinking the tank only needs to be high enough to achieve the flow equal to the highest evaporation rate of the rig.

Is this correct?

Liquid seeks its own level, so get it high enough to let gravity work for you.

You need to find a happy median. Get the level too high and it can bypass or push through the float and if it is too low it may not feed fast enough. If youhave the recommended size feed line for your evap. You should be good with atleast a foot.

Now and then i have to get the Verniers out/But most of the time i get it within .010 which isn't bad for eyeballing it. :)

Hey when i measure it with the vernier caliper and then mark the line with a piece of chalk and cut it with the chain saw=How more precision can you get then that???
