First boil of the year

Boiled this past weekend and ended up with 1 gallon and 3 pints of medium to dark amber. Seems dark this year, used same method as last year, didn't get the new Sunrise Hobby 2' X 4' set-up in time.

Hey Sanford! You made Maple Syrup and that is a good thing. Many Folks seem to be getting Darker Syrup this year. Hey! I'll take it - Hope to start my first boil of the year tomorrow.

Good luck Ausable, I dont mind the dark syrup it turned out pretty tasty. I collected about 30 gallons tonight, I will probably boil again on Sunday.

my first boil today and made 6 gallons. was low end medium amber and was way darker than last year's; but last year was crazy-light syrup.
