My temps locally saw Friday, Saturday and Sunday all above freezing, no sap yet !!

Just how long does it take trees to thaw and produce sap?

This has to be around he 8th day this month we had above freezing day temps.

Hard to believe it is the last day of March and I have not had a boil yet. So much for global warming!!

Hey 325, sure hope things change for us.
My forecast says for today it will be above freezing all day and NOT below freezing all through the night. That may be a game changer for the trees. First time this year the night will not drop below freezing.

Usually - I'm pulling taps and cleaning things up about now. If I have a good sap flow today - I hope to start my first boil tomorrow. Mother Nature, Father Time, Jack Frost and the rest of the Crew have toyed with the Human Race a whole bunch in 2014. They have had a great time messing with us. Even the Global Warming school of thinking - were so embarrassed they now prefer "Climate Change" to "Global Warming" - No One seems to have all the answers anymore. What will be - will be. Ahhhhh! I may even get to boil some maple sap! Finally. lol ---Mike---
