I will finish my 175gal batch Monday night, boiled a 100 or so today and some last night, with the weather I think the train is leaving.Still have to finish tomorrow night but it looks to be the end of the train! So far for me just over 9 gal syrup so far and most likely 3 so tomorrow, bad ratio 55+ to 1 but it's good!

That is so hard to believe ,but your up there, when is about your average tapping time and how much would you have made on average for this time? For me I tapped 2 less trees but almost did the same as last year, only my 4th year.

Brought back 500 gal yesterday. Will be cooking down 650 gal (150 gal from others) today. Temp forcast is for mid 50's daytime and 32 to 36 nitetime in town. I know I'm a little colder than in town so hopefully those pesky peepers with stay away a little longer.

I don't steal the signs they are on utility poles that get hit by cars, trucks that we change they don't belong on our poles either.

Congratulations on your excellent season. That's a great haul.

P.S. Someone must have been in a real hurry to get to Newark airport. Maybe they were late for their flight.

No, not yet. The weather and the trees have been toying with me. I collected 15L a couple of weeks ago (that's just under 4 gallons) and got tired of it looking so lonely in the bucket so I slowly simmered it on the stove. It made just under 2 cups of syrup. I'm dipping my toast into that syrup these mornings just to keep me motivated.

I collected a total of 38L (8+ gallons) Sunday and Monday, but got zip yesterday. I'm hopeful that last night's temperatures will have been low enough to get things flowing today. Last year I did my final boil on April 4th. What a difference a year makes.

Mental note, when driving through NJ avoid Outerbridge Crossing. Apparently it's a real doozy to negotiate behind the wheel.

5050, I got squat here today. Not a drop.
