Being a novice syrup maker, the original "JONES RULE OF 86" left me confused. Using the original math equation, I couldn't figure out why a gallon of finished syrup would require 1.29 gallons (+/-) to make a gallon of syrup...when it's already syrup?

While searching the Web, I stumbled onto the "THE JONES RULE OF 86 REVISITED" article you recently co-authored. Your updated version makes perfect sense!

Thank you for restoring my sanity...

Now I have to Google it.

I bet I am not the only one who wants to read it.

If I was a nice guy, I would post the link, but,,,,,,,,LOL.

Stuck in a Hotel, hours away from my trees , the worst internet connection ever offered by a hotel. I am lucky if I get to the article.
