Collected 3.25gal yesterday and 3.5gal today. It's still clear, and the 6.75gal mixed together measured 2.5 Brix. I have already bottled more than my goal and I'm still in the game.

I am about a mile or so from MarkCT and I have had sap running for three straight days and counting. Collected 270 gallons from 64 taps since Friday. Sugar content is down to 1.2% today but I will take it. The RO will make it 8%. There are still patches of snow in places when I collected today and no signs of buds coming out. However, I live 5 miles away and the two red maples next to my house have started to pop. Looks like tomorrow night will give us a little freeze and then that may be it. Will be pulling taps on Friday. Good Luck and hopefully it will be a little colder than forecasted.

I pulled maple tree taps yesterday and dumped the contents because the sugar content was too low....so for something different tapped my black walnut (aka hickory nut) trees because that that season is just starting and it will be over by the April... :)
