Measuring pH

What is best way to measure pH of my permeate? The pH kits in local pool stores don't go high enough?

Cheapest is a role of litmus paper. Changes color. Check against a chart. I also have a couple of meters. First was about $40. Just picked up a used one for $10. Nice to have a back up. I check with a test solution at beginning of season.

Does anyone use the electronic testers? If so do they work well?

Yes that is what I meant by meters. They seem to work well. I find it quicker to use that paper
