Has anybody else had there pans red with nitre?

It has happened again. My pans have burgundy nitre in them. Anybody else ever had that?

When I used to tap all reds at my old place the nitre was always reddish brown. Now that I tap all sugars at a new location the nitre is light. Can't tell you if it's the type of tree or the location but my first question would be what types of maple do you tap?
