Quick question, will this filter press pull the syrup up out of my draw off tank or do I have to supply the syrup to the pump? I don't want to hurt the pump if it runs dry pulling the syrup up to it...I will be trying it for the first time after my next boil and I just don't want to kill it first time out.. The instructions were rather vague, thanks.

I have that press with a air pump and can pump out a cold drum with the press sitting on top of it.

I have this press, and have not had a problem drawing hot syrup up to the pump.
