Holey nitre

I boiled 500 gallons yesterday and the filters were red with nitre, a lot more than normal. Anybody else see the same thing.

I filter my sap as I dump it into the preheater and it doesn't take long for them to start running slower. That just seemed to be that way the last few nights. The filters when I draw off seem dirtier than a week ago too.
