Does this look like something that can be used for a vacuum system?

Really just thinking of using to 'pull" sap from the back woods (max of 200' away) in a collection tank (maybe 55gallon drum).
Not sure I'm ready for full on VACUUM.

Not positive but I believe the second one would work for say 75ish taps. Still need a releaser, that could be a substantial cost.

Work is a matter of what is wanted from the units. To pull sap you need 1" of vac for every 12" of rise to the top of the ladder. Remember that the line leaving the ladder needs to be at 2% slope minimum.
I use 1 cfm/ 100 taps on a tight system. On leaky system then you are at 1 cfm/50 taps... one slip of the drill on one hole and you are at the 50 from the 100 tap count.
I know a guy that pulls taps across the ground in a 5/16 tubing from a open tank to his releaser with no issues. So yes it can be done it is just a matter of making it work in your situation.
Releaser can be built for about $200.
Good Luck!
