dual cone filter tank as finisher?

I have a leader 2 cone filter that I use to filter. Any problem foreseeable past burning it by using it as a finisher over propane. So I would filter 5-10 gallons into it from the evap and then finish it over propane. Has a convenient drain sput and all.

I put mine on top of a turkey fryer, been doing it that way for years, dont leave filters in tank when full with syrup.

Great thanks! I try to dip into the wealth of information on here before I try something new. Would be nice to finish syrup in the shack while evaporating instead of late night on the cookstove

I pretty much finish right off the evap. Filter it check it then can it.
