I see on the top of these soda kegs there are 2 quick coupling valves, one says in and the other out,,the both have ball-spring set ups in them that hold pressure in the tank when charged,,,,you can press down on the balls in the couplers with a screwdriver and release pressure,,,,I was thinking when I hot pack these kegs with syrup and the syrup cools and contracts wont the vacuum fromed by the contraction of the once hot syrup pull air in thru these valves?
I was wondering what others do to truley seal these kegs? My original thought was to weld the valves shut or screw the valves out and replace them with something stainless with the same thread????any ideas? Thanks
