Rookie question time. Just a thought. I got my plastic buckets up with nice sunny days and cold nights. Perfect but? We have a nasty storm heading our way with -8 to -13 C. for a couple of days. Once out of the tree and the sap freezes am I good to go once it gets above freezing again?

Thanks for the reply. Play the waiting game and wait for the sap in the buckets to thaw and move ahead. First time tapping and was a kick to see it run into the buckets. Hooked of course. Jack

Make sure you check your buckets as it warms up. You will find the point when the sap is liquid and the water is still frozen. Take all the ice pucks out and toss them!
