Gravity mainline Q

hey all, I have a question about my mainline, i have searched the threads bu I may have the wording wrong :rolleyes:

I have 200ft of main on gravity to my evaporator, one end in my tanks obviously, but do I leave the other end open or do I stick a cork in it?

Put a cork in it :)
leaving it open will invite bacteria, bugs, etc. on gravity you probably won't develop any natural vacuum in the main line anyway,so there is enough airspace in there to let it flow and empty. your laterals will hold sap until the next run pushes it out.
