I'm going to insulate and brick my Smokey Lake arch this week, I plan to build a ramp at the back of the firebox and come up to the 4' flue pan at about 1' in from the front. The bottoms of the flues will have about 1/4" clearance. My firebox is 2'X2'. I'll be using 1' ceramic blanket and firebrick. Does anybody see any problems or have any suggestions? Thanks.
