older taps not running

I had put in 20 taps 2 weeks ago when we had a short warm up and got about 30 gals of sap, I just put another 10 taps in yesterday and they are running good but the taps I put in two weeks ago are not doing so good do tap holes start to dry up that fast?

mine are doing the same thing.. darn deep freeze..the pros will tell you they will run...I hope they are right.. was supposed to be warm today...now 32 overcast and snowing..jeeeesh!

Mine did the same.But I did notice yesterday afternoon when I had checked them that they where completely frozen all the way up into the spout. So that would definitely explain why they are taking longer to get going.

They should be fine. I had about fifty taps in two weeks ago all ran great today.

Last year I tapped and the sap did not run for 3 weeks. Once it warmed up they ran fine
