Finally looks like we get a break in the weather! My guess is the trees will be busting at the seams, and we'll be buried by mid week.
I sure hope so anyway.

Send some of that weather towards central NY, our forecast still looks very marginal at best for the next 10 days.

Will do our best...prevailing winds are WSW from here, so it should be headed your way.

Both the Weather Channel website and Accuweather agree that after today our next 6 days (at least) are above freezing, and Accuweather doesn't show another day with a high below 32. Though they do seem to be usually forecasting warmer temps than other forecasts that is still an encouraging forecast.

I've got next to nothing. All frozen and not enough to fire up my 2x6. Very frustrating. Looks like Monday and Tuesday we should get a run and of course I'm out of town for work....
Disappointing lack of a run today. Just too darn cold my lines are mostly froze up. Some bags are dripping even though its 30 right now. It was 36 around 730 then got cold quick.

Got about 16.5 gal off of 31 taps in one woods today. the rest of my 24 taps gave me 3 gal. Many of those trees are in the crick bottom and had 1.5 ft of water running through it when we had the thaw on 2/22. I think that may have affected them - I may start a thread to see if others have had that happen. Either way I will be boiling tomorrow with that and what I have in the tank and hoping to gather more with a run tomorrow.

Collected 105 gallons at 2.4%, off 135 taps between Friday and a small run Friday nite. Boiled it all off, just starting to get the pan sweet. Nothing at all today, but tomorrow looks pretty promising. I refuse to look at any more weather forecasts, I'd rather just look out the window in the morning.
Very Small run today have maybe 150 gal from 532 taps on vac.

Good run last night and still going as I left for work...we will boil tonight for sure. And the next day too, I'm thinking.

Like someone said, finally. Sweetened the pans Sat. and boiled all day today. Finished off 11gal of very light today. The trees are making a lier out of me again. I was sure that the wet, cool, cloudy summer we had would produce little sugar for us this year, wrong, sap at 2.6 . The very nice start here. running nice now releasing every 8min. Hope all is working well for everyone. Time to catch up for lost early runs.

Ended up with 95 gallons from Monday's run, all at 2.1%, and a small collection of 35 gallons yesterday. 2 gallons made so far, a nice "rich amber" per new grading kit.
As I refuse to look at the weather any longer, I was surprised to see the snow today...and man do we have lots of it. Someone said it's going up to the 40's for Friday, so this may be good. Kind of looking like last year with warmups and freezes - I'll take it.
