Looking for some good maple syrup/sap drinks... One we do every year is fill glass with ice, add one or two shots of your favorite whiskey, fill glass close to top with maple sap, add a table spoon or so of maple syrup and enjoy! Post if you have any favorites. Cant wait for the sap to start flowing!

A 50/50 blend of Onyx moonshine and maple syrup is a delicious drink to have a few shots of in the sugarhouse!

...5 shots of tequila, it'll do me in
Note that I will serve 2-3 glasses from this shaker... but it is a strong drink, even still.

OLD FASHIONS.... Great when made with syrup instead of sugar. 2 shots of brandy or for the uncivilized whiskey, a dash of bitters, I use 1 table spoon of syrup. I like some sweet soda (7 up ) or water. This is in a glass with ice. A little fruit if you're hungry. They taste sooooo good , and I feel they're good for what ales you.

Maple ale homebrew! 7%ABV

Don't suppose you have a recipe? I tried one a couple years ago and it was drinkable, but barely.

I've been fooling around with ingredients and hit on a concoction that I think is delicious:
1 oz. bourbon
1-1/2 tsp maple syrup
2 drops bitters
Pour over a couple of ice cubes and add sparkling cider to taste (1/2 cup or so)

I brewed a batch of maple stout a few years back using sap instead of water. It was the only homebrew I ever had to dump - it spoiled after bottling. I clearly got it contaminated somehow, but it was the only batch I ever lost.

A regular cup of tea made off the flue pan is very good when you come in from the wet woods.

This is my favorite maple cocktail we've come up with:

The Northwoods Fizz

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add:
1 1/2 ounces vodka
3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 to 1 ounce grade A maple syrup to taste
2-3 dashes aromatic bitters
Shake and strain over ice
Top with Jamaican style ginger ale or ginger beer (no hfcs please!)
Stir and garnish with lime slices

Omit the vodka for a cold sweet & sour cooler

Our maple margarita & maple hot buttered rum are also popular: https://www.facebook.com/notes/northwoods-farm-and-forestry/northwoods-cocktails/619337611410591

Maple- Vanilla Latte.
Add a Tablespoon of syrup to the milk you are going to steam. when it is almost to temp add a dash of real vanilla extract.
a double shot of espresso, and you are good to go.

The guy who first showed me the ropes drank Mohawk Ginger Brandy. He claimed there was a half-pint in every gallon of syrup.

Maple martini. Real simple. 2 parts syrup, one part vodka, shake vigorously and serve over ice. You can go 50:50 or reverse ratio of vodka and syrup. Enjoy
