By this weekend I should have new shack finished enough to boil in, if the sap every runs. Love the way it has turned out so far, I will try to post pics later this week but it is 14 x 20 with 4 x 6 timbers, hemlock, with 2x8 hemlock floor and traditional look bare galv roof , board n batten in the peaks and hemlock t g doors. Hopefully I will put lean to on this summer and finish the decor. I have punched maple leaves into a couple galv buckets and will hang them for lights later hopefully in the next two weeks, until then will use flour lighting. To finish the outside I will probably use boiled linseed oil mixed with a little honey colored stained. Maybe even put up half round bare galv gutters.

Good job bowtie. I look forward to seeing the pictures. I am hoping to build a shack in the next two years, probably before the 2016 season. I am looking for ideas and what you described I woudl like to see.

Sounds glorious bowtie. Please post some pictures ASAP. :) I'm loving that punched bucket idea.
