Just did my first test boil with water on my new 2x6 Lapierre raised flue and need advice on how to clean the pans. Ran it about a hour after it warmed up and I flushed them with clean water after they cooled. What is the best way to clean before 1st boil with sap? All I can say is this thing is going to make my life alot eaisier then what I used the last 2 seasons!!! Hoping for warmer weather by end of the week and away we go!!! Thanks for the advice.

I would say your ready to go. You did the clean out boil. Do a good rinse and your ready to go.

Just rinse inside and drain. Then brush the flues underneath, to get best heat transfer.

I would say your ready also. A good boil with water and a rinse should be good.
That new rig will be a nice improvement for 2014! Hope we get some weather.

Chris
