After a productive weekend it seems we are in a two week freeze up.
Is there a need to remove releasers to prevent from hard freezing ?
A few days probably wouldn't bother but 2 weeks seems like a long time.

If you have your extractor protected from the weather it will be fine.

She should weather the cold better than we do. Just don't want it to get moisture into fittings that could push apart during these supper cold temps.
All in favor of warmer days and nights say I!
If you get warm enough for mains to thaw in the sun it could get into releaser. It is not fun to thaw out a single vertical that is full to the cover and frozen solid. :/ keep an eye on it

I have a quick disconnect right after the releaser so when it is cold or after you shut off the vacuum pump you can disconnect and let all moisture (ice and sap) flow directly into the tank and not freeze solid in the vertical releaser.......Something to consider
