View Full Version : Sweetening pan then draining before cold snap

Hi all- I collected 50 gallons yesterday and will boil on my 2 x 5 before this cold spell hits. Am I correct that once I boil it that it wont spoil? I plan to empty the pan for this deep freeze after its boiled. What/where is the best way to store the boiled sap for this long cold spell? Thank you. Mike

It will still spoil, it will just take longer. Keep it as cold as possible, maybe even partially frozen.
