Good use of color! I have often wondered the same thing of my neighbors, fortunately I have a long driveway that is uphill, so when they walk by I just wave and smile. No one has come up yet, so its either too long of a walk or they must think we are cooking meth!

Did you forget to put a tap in that tree, or is it at the back?

It's looking like you're studying for clown school finals and practicing your balloon animals again :)

Aside from the tree looking like an oak and the branch on the ground to the right looks like an oak, It looks like the tree is 24"+ and you have 3 drop lines all right next to each other. Better choice would to space the drop lines somewhat equally around the tree to keep tap holes spaced far enough apart over next several years.

I the telephone pole by my neighbors house every year when he's at work. He finally decided to not take it out. I still have some old spiles if he insisted on removing them.

Ok didn't see it before. We have a few walnuts in our area but basically they were planted and no where near that big. How does walnut syrup taste?

I was told it has a nutty, buttery flavor to it. Will see!

I am going to tap a few walnuts as well. I was told this past year maple/walnut syrup 85/15% was going for $120 per QT. That my kind of profit!:)

I've heard the same thing. Dr Mike Farell recommends 80/20 but close enough. I've got another 30 something trees available but I might wait and see how this year goes. :)
