I usually tap with a gas powered tanaka and have no complaints, but I broke my cordless that I use in my regular line of work. The wheels in my head are set in motion.............. So how many taps do you guys who use a cordless get out of them and what brand do you own?

wdchuck..... 18v dewalt and one battery pack would knock out 100-125 holes easy. This year my packs are two years old so it will be interesting to see how far they will go.Hole size will determine longevity of the battery also. The larger the hole the more power needed to spin the bit, less holes per pack, smaller hole ,more holes per pack.

I use a 18volt from K-mart-(Benchtop pro). Got it on clearence for 29.99, it came with 2 battery packs, charger, drill bits and driver tips all in a case. Only have 40 taps in this year and it smoked right threw them like a breeze.
