Well I am very pleased with the temporary block arch I built this year. It is sitting on my kids 4h pig pen slab. started it up about 10:15 by 10:45 I was at a rolling boil in the front pan about 5 mins later the 2nd pan and then about 10 mins after that I was at a full rolling boil with all 3 pans. did a 1 hour test starting when the 2nd pan was at a rolling boil. I am happy to say I ate up 10 gallons of water in 1 hour. It beats the 10 hour boil to make a little less than a gallon my first year. arch is 40 deep 20 wide inside dimensions combustion chamber is 15 high by 20 deep by 20 wide. ramped up to the back from 16 high to about 1 inch from the bottom of the top row of block. so the last half of the last pan is about 3 inches from the ramp.the flue (6" heating duct from a friend )goes straight out the back then up 8 feet. I have to thank everyone on this forum as I gleaned great ideas from many of you. Maybe one day I will have some pictures. Best of luck to all this season!
