I purchased a 18"x4' arch from CDL with a continuous flow pan and need a warming pan. I found this stainless steel pan, 12" x 20" x 6" deep. Should help with warming and just helping keep the sap flowing into my pan.

How do i attach a shutoff valve, what do I need? It really doesn't have to be much. Instead of welding can I drill a hole and simply attached a value?

Is there an option to just drill a hole, a small hole, to keep the sap running into the pan? That may not be the best choice.

Any thoughts would be great! Thanks, RG.

If you can't weld SS, get a bulkhead fitting. Just be sure it is food grade.

Heres a bulkhead fitting (see attached link) that would work for your warming pan or go to any home brew (beer/wine making) site and they usually have them.
Hope that helps,
Ren

Thanks for the info. I just ordered a bulkhead fitting with a value - food grade.
