Finally got all spiles changed out in gravity woods this morning and got 600 taps in there. Going to try and get other 600 in tomorrow but doubt it since that is the steeper section. Then the 500 or so in new vacuum woods to go. Should be done by Wednesday. How's everyone else in the county doing?

Not in somerset but in allegheny we got all 32 of our taps tapped on gravity and buckets! Last year we had15 taps this year we bumped it up! Hoping to get more syrup with our small backyard hobby! Good luck with your season I wish I could have an operation like yours!!!

Gotta say one week in and I need a break . Knee to waste deep snow for days, tapping on snow shoes, half the leak detection on snow shoes. Fortunately we got back our vacuum up fairly quickly. Lots of sap for 2 days, low sugar, lack of sleep as I reworked my ro feeds. Finally boiled today. Need next weeks cold to fix everything I found wrong this run.
