:) Hi,
I hope that made sense. I am upgrading from the filter papers because of length of time it takes, drives me insane. I can not afford the filter press but have been looking at the hand pump filter and the all in one flat pan filter, finisher and bottler. I need help in determining which to get. We are a small Mom and Pop operation and when we cook we finish 2-3 gals daily. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Cindee

Hi Cindy
I would look at the Smokey Lake stuff. They make one you can draw off into and filter then heat and bottle. It would make your job a lot easier. It uses a steam tray at the bottom with a propane burner.

I just bought one of Smokey Lake filter/bottlers with the steam pan. I already had a propane burner from my turkey frier so I didn't have to buy that. I've only used it once but it worked great. The steam pan allowed me to bottle at exactly 185 F without generating any niter. I also like the flat filter. The small one handles 2-3 gallons easily. It was a little pricey ($580 including steam pan, thermometer, and stainless steel bottling valve and shipping)
