does anyone know where one could get an economical flow meter to put in a sap transfer line? I'd use it to more acurately measure the sap I buy.
thanks

look online and buy a retired water meter. Cities periodically switch from one type to another.

I use the 3/4" model in our feed mill to supply molasses to the mixer. The 1" is good for 40 g/m and 3/4" is 15 g/m.
3/4" is $110.
Depending on how much sap you buy, you might want to check your state's regulations to see if you are required to have a certified meter to use for measuring the sap you are buying.

These (http://www.jerman.com/dljmeter.html)are reasonably priced and accurate to +/-1.5%...which isn't bad. 1" is cheap, 1.5" is not cheap.
