In the past I have run 5/16 spouts with a short length of tube to a bucket on the ground. This year I am trying to run 5 to 20 trees at a time on a 5/16 line to a barrel. I went on line to start buying the supplies and am confused. I was going to get the seasonal 5/16 leader clear spouts and then run those to a tee in the 5/16 line. The question is when shopping for the Leader t's the site shows "Leader 5/16 Tee w/ plug for Stu" What is the plug for Stu? Is this what I need to use or am I ordering the wrong thing?

Thanks.

If you are using season spouts you want the one with the plug. At the end of the season you can cut off the spout then slide the line onto the tee same as the stubby does the T is designed to fit both stubby and 5/16" line. If you plan on reusing spouts you would want the T-Cup as the spout goes in the cup at the end of the season.

I use the cup tee and cut spouts in the beginning of season and add a new spout. I was the lines and found the plug doesn't seal well when I am vacing the lines while washing them. You can still wash your lines by putting a diaphragm pump on the end and pumping solution thru lines to wash out the sugar and gunk that will form. Vacing is a lot easier and less messy. I knew aguy that was going to put a generator and a shop vac on the lines to vac them clean. Never heard how that worked.
