I'm planning on clamping a float switch to a piece of pvc pipe dropped into my head tank, but I can't figure out a good way to support the pvc pipe itself. I'd like to be able to remove the pipe easily when I take the tank down for cleaning. Any ideas? Pics appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean

Our head tank has a cap on the top. I left the cap off drilled two holes through the threads on the tank and you could then wire or zip tie the pvc to the side of it.

The tank is a 55-gal barrel on its side, so there's nothing for the pipe to grab onto. I have a hole cut into it about 8" across. You gave me an idea, though. Maybe I should drill a second hole beside the big opening small enough so that the pipe is snug, but I could slide it out. Still thinking. Keep the ideas coming.
Thanks,
Sean
