I have a de Laval 76 pump with oil flood, last year I used the cheap TSC pump oil, this year I am going with higher quality for less smoking, etc. What should I pour into the reservoir to clean out the old oil, sludge? etc? I was thinking paint thinner or lacquer thinner, but maybe just diesel will do the trick?
