Tapped 11 trees (sugar maple) on Friday. Using buckets. We have to start early. We are a Nature Center and our demonstrations began Feb 1. About a 100 school children per day until the 1st of April. Have to use water and sugar in the evaporator until the sap flows. After season starts we usually end up with 50 to 70 taps. We have a Leader 4 foot straight through evaporator.
