Copper Preheater

I used flexible copper pipe to wrap around my stove pipe and used pex to go over the copper on both ends so the sap goes in threw lex threw the tank and out threw lex is it bad for the sap any advice on how to do it better?

I suggest insulating and covering the copper. I posted pic of mine from last year
