does anyone know offhand what the filter size and micro rating is on the blue pre-filter for a Lapierre 600 RO? It is 4 or 5 years old. Thanks

if you use a cloth boot over the filter, you should get the whole day out of one filter

Good advice.
I try to gat a full day out of my pre filters. If the sap is clean and clear then I don't bother with them. Early and late season sap the cloth covers are the difference between $10 in new filters or making a full days run on one set of filters.

they must be the 2.5" diameter x 20" tall filters?

That is correct! I second the use of the wraps around the cartridges. It will save you lots of $$ in the long run.

Get the Purtrex filters. They work the best. I've tried others, and granted they're cheap, but they clog up in no time. I think CDL has the best price on them ($2.95 I think), or I just bought a case from Joe at Atlantic RO. I think a case of 20 was ~$92 with shipping.
I also use the wraps.

I use a smaller filter but I order them directly from Purtrex.
