That is the worst hatchet job on an important discovery that I have ever read. The author of that article should be flogged along with the author of the article in Modern Farmer as the originator of misinformation that borders on embarrassing. What I'd like to do the the ignorant blaze commenters will go unstated. For anyone interested in the real story, Dr Tim posted this link a month or so ago.

I have to admit that I did not read the article. I saw the pretty picture and skimmed the first paragraph.
