Going rate for ceramic board?

Listed I the local sugar bush supply catalog for $3.80 /sqft. I've been dealing with Industrial Firebrick at work for years on our power boilers and have bought brick from them and price has been great. Sooooo making the story longer I had a guy in the area and sent him for a few boards thinking they would be in the ballpark and likely cheaper. Shocked when the receipt said $9.00/sqft!!!! Almost 3 times a reseller seems odd, what are you guys seeing for prices?

Bascom's gets $10.50 for 1'x3'. Goodrich's told me about the same yesterday

I just looked in Sugar Bush Supplies 2013 catalog -- $3.15/sq ft. BUT it comes in 1x3' boards so that is $9.45 a board. That number is a bit closer to your $9. Not sure why SBS lists it by the sq ft.
