Wondering what feedback there is on having Semi Rigid tubing as drops with seasonal spouts? Do you find they vacuum leak much?

Semi rigid is pretty much standard for drops, so I would imagine it would work fine, especialy since semi rigid is much more rubbery and seals easily on fittings compared to rigid tubing

I see your point markct but am concerned about it not being soft enough and causing a micro leak.

Im a bit confused here, the semi rigid tubing I have used all seemed pretty soft, rigid I could definatly see some issues with since the seasonal spouts have a minimal barb, is there some special tubing they recommend for the seasonal spouts?

I don't believe it is "just" for seasonal spouts. CDL has the 4 Season as well as the Flex tubing . I know the others have "soft" drop line tubing as well. I'm just curios as to weather or not there are producers making 1/2 gal of syrup per tap and have Semi Rigid drops ?

I use cdl semi rigid with cdl seasonal smart spouts and did .45 last year.
.48 gal per tap last year with Leader 30P. I don't like working with the softer tubing I often seem to mash the tubing with my one handed tool.
I have 30P drops about eight years old. A lot of them have tiny leaks where they rotate on the T. Have been replacing with softer.

I call semi-rigid tubing "squirrel food". The little sons of guns have a taste for it in my woods. They won't touch 30p.

I've used both, but now use only 30P. I've not noticed a difference in squirrel damage, they like both, but the damage is mostly done in the summer I think.

I have used both. and much prefer the semi ridged. The 30p seems to become loose on the T after a few seasons and leak. the semi ridged seems to hold to the T much better.
