View Full Version : shut off valve
Is there supposed to be a shut off valve between the flu pan and the syrup pan? If not how do you take off the front pan to clean without emptying the whole evaporator

If you dont have a valve, then possibly a plug to fit?
No plug either. Anyway you would have to plug from inside the flu pan. How could you do that when the hood is setting on the pan

I have seen some with shut off valves. My neighbor Keith had custom pans built and has a ball valve to shut off flow from the rear. My old rig does not have a shut off in the rear pan. It has flow control 'plugs' in the front pan. So we drain everything if the front pan has to come off. Have some 5 gallon clean food grade buckets handy.

Chris
Seems like a lot of 5 gallon buckets
