sap sack holders

yes i know homemade sap sack holders have been discussed, but what splies do people use? i'm thinking about using straight spouts but dont know if they will work?

I used the 90 degree ones last year but plan to use the straight ones this year. I don't see a reason that they wouldn't work. I have homemade PVC holders and use empty 20 or 24 oz. Pepsi bottles cut in half to keep out the rain. They also help keep the holder on the spout. I cut it in half and then drill a 7/16" hole for the spout and then cut from the hole to the open end to slide it over the spout. It helps to snip out a V where it starts on the open end for sliding it on.

thanks i'm just worried that the lip will be to close to the tree and the pvc holder won't fit
