TO BE OR NOT TO BE

I have yet to join the Vt Maple producers Association. If anyone is a member what are the advantages of joining? I'd like to join but would like to hear about it and its pro and cons.

Personally I think it is a great association to be in.

it cost:
100-749 taps=$25
750-3999 taps=$35
4000-up=$45
less than 100 taps=$25(Non-Voting member)
you have to have produced 25+ gallons of syrup for at least 2 of the past 10 consecutive years to be a voting member.

the membership dues get put into a fund for VT maple promotion all around new england and beyond. also keeps you informed in issues that pertain to the VT maple industry, and allows your voice to be heard in the decision making. and more...

Also by being a member you get better pricing on the following: VMSMA maple supplies, promotional materials, retail containers, stainless syrup barrels.

Thanks for the info, I'm going to check into it some more. I've been intrested in joining just wanted some other opinions on it.
