848184828483I took a pipe, drilled holes, and hooked it up to my old shop vac.
I'm going to weld a cap on the end, but just pluged it for testing. I was able to put enough holes in it to really get air pushing hard, and yet not putting strain on the moter. Haven't gotten to try it yet in the fire but i think this should really get the flames going. So I wouldn't get rid of that vacuum yet.

save that baby, I got one plumbed into my arch. Have used it two years and still puffing.

good idea and I'm sure it would blow some fire, but that kind of noise running constantly in the sugarhouse would drive me nuts. maybe if it could be boxed in outside and run through a wall or something. you're giving me some ideas.
