In NE Ohio, it looks like we are going to have 2 weeks of sap weather according to Accuweather.com. From Jan 11th to the 29th, it is going to be above freezing during the day (low 40's to high 30's) and high 20's at night. Very strange.... Is anyone else in Ohio tempted to tap?

I'm thinking about it, but the next 2-3 weeks after that look pretty cold.

The temptation is there if you are ready to go I will hold off until valentines day as always temps in feb. look like they will be cold after what looks like n old fashion Jan. thaw. Still have tubing maint. to finish so the warmer temps will be welcome

Hmmmmmm! Here in Glennie, Michigan we had a balmy -20F at 6am. The good news is - we also have good snow cover to keep the frost from getting too deep. Coldest December we have had in years and the New Year has been a repeat so far. ----Oh well - It is Michigan and it could be up to +50F in a couple of days. LOL --------Mike------

I've tapped late January the last two years - I think I'm waiting until at least then.
