King sap bags

I just received a bunch of King maple sap bags made by Leader from a family friend who has not used them for a long time and are in excellent shape. Just wondering if anybody knows when these were produced and if they can still be used after a good cleaning and rinsing with hot water?

Sure they can be used. Leader sold them in the 90's but it's been awhile since they have offered them. I would guess close to 20 years since they were in the catalog.

I would fill one up with water and hang it up to test the strength of the plastic after all those years. I would even fill it up half way and let it freeze and thaw to simulate the conditions it might go through. Would be a shame to have the seams let loose when filled with sap.
